BEYONCE – A CHILD OF DESTINY INDEED

ABOUT BEYONCE

Beyonce Giselle Knowles-Carter is one of the most influential game-changers in musical history. Glorified and looked up to by so many little girls across the globe she has created her own society called the Beyhive. Iconic may be an understatement for a figure as large as hers, as she appears to oscillate in her own orbit.

Beyonce was born in Houston Texas on September 4, 1981. Her introduction to the world of music began at a very early age. Her mother Tina Knowles saw her potential and at the age of eight she auditioned for an all-girls group called “Girls Tyme.” This group would later evolve to become the famous group known as Destiny’s Child.

In the initial stages, the group had their fair share of challenges and rejection but through their trials, they held steadfast, focused on the goal. In the late 1990’s they signed a deal with Columbia Records. In 1998 they released their debut album Destiny’s Child, which grabbed the attention of the movers and shakers of the music industry. This album received moderate success but it wasn’t until their second album “The Writings On The Wall,” which came out a year later in 1999, that the group received overwhelming international recognition with hits such as “Say My Name” and “Bills, Bills,Bills.”

Queen Bey’s talent and star quality were distinctly obvious and she became the lead vocalist and focal point of the group. Her powerful voice would captivate audiences wherever she performed.

Beyonce’s strong stage presence, her undeniable beauty, and her charismatic performances would leave people in awe. As the group continued to grow from strength to strength, so did Beyonce’s solo aspirations. In 2003 Beyonce debuted her first solo project titled “Dangerously In Love.” This featured huge tracks such as “Baby Boy” and “Crazy In Love” which further propelled her to superstardom. In her solo pursuit, she gained significant international acclaim and earned five Grammy awards. This would establish Beyonce as a formidable solo artist. Kotch Magazine.

Beyonce showcased versatility as a solo artist blending hip-hop, pop, R&B, and some Reggae influences. Her solo career continued to flourish, as her follow-up solo projects were just as successful. “B Day” in 2006 featured hit songs such as “De Ja Vu,” “Upgrade U” and “Check on it” to name a few. “I am Sacha Fierce” in 2008 was widely considered a banger to say the least. The album featured tracks such as “Halo,” and “Single Ladies” (Put a Ring on It), cementing her status as a pop superstar.

Beyonce also “went Hollywood,” which means she pursued acting and was featured in films such as Austin Powers “Goldfinger,”  “DreamGirls” and “Obsessed” to name a few. She received wide acclaim and a Golden Globe nomination for acting in “Dreamgirls” in 2006.

BEYONCE – A CHILD OF DESTINY INDEED

In 2011 Beyonce announced on the MTV Video Awards that she was pregnant with her first child, Blue Ivy Carter.

As she went through her changes in becoming a mother, so did her music. Her delivery was flawless and empowering on her album titled “Beyonce” in 2013, as she brought focus to bear on themes of feminism and motherhood.

Throughout her career Beyonce has used her platform to advocate for social rights and civil justice. Her album “Lemonade” which was released in 2016, spoke on issues of race, feminism and personal growth.

Bey used her performances at the Super Bowl and Coachella as a means to promote her powerful statements of racial inequality as well.

Beyonce also diversified her income by starting her own clothing line, “House Of Derion ” and “Ivy Park” through collaboration with brands such as Pepsi and Addidas, though they were short-lived.

Her influence led to philanthropic efforts such as her BeyGOOD initiative, which lends support to education, health, housing, water scarcity, disaster relief and other charitable organizations. Her influence extends beyond music and entertainment, as she continues to inspire millions of people through her artistry and activism. Her dedication and unrelenting pursuit of excellence have moved beyond bounds and is indeed a testament to her remarkable talent and spirit.

Mrs.Carter’s journey exemplifies not only a humble beginning to riches episode. It underscores that which can be achieved without bounds, through self-awareness, confidence, self-empowerment and inspirational abilities. Her commitment to making a positive impact on society encapsulates what Michael Jackson postulates in “Starting with the Man in the Mirror.”
